Cults / Sects / False Prophets: The Bible says
"Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ', and will deceive many."
The Holy Bible warns us about False Prophets and False Messiahs.
In the 20th century, Cults and Sects are growing at a frightening rate. These groups are drawing in the unwise, sucking in many people who are blinded by false hopes, false promises and false doctrine. Many of their claims are rubbish & conflict with Biblical truths. Take the warnings of the Holy Bible very very seriously. The 2 Timothy 4 reference is particularly relevant. A link to a website specialising in Cults is shown at the base of this page. There are several good websites that are helpful.
Five (5) key verses at the heart of Christian faith are: John 10: v 9; John 14: v 6, Acts 4: v 12, Romans 6 and John 3 v 36:
Jesus said "I am the door; if any one enters by me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture."(RSV)
Jesus answered "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
"Salvation is found in no one else, (only Jesus Christ) for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
".....but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."
Salvation ( a pathway to God the Father ) is through Jesus Christ and Him alone. There is ONE and only ONE pathway, NOT several. Christ is a living Saviour. There is no requirement for any other prophet after Christ.
Mohammed: founder of Islam,
Joseph Smith: founder of the Mormons,
Charles Russell: founder of the Jehovah Witnesses,
Ron L Hubbard: founder of Scientology
and other false prophets will come and go.
They have already or will all die and shall remain dead until Christ returns to judge the living and dead as stated in scripture. These men and that's all they are, are of no significance to getting right with God the Father.
Jesus Christ is the key to Salvation for mankind. This is a key truth of the Bible
DON'T BE CONNED OR SWAYED BY INCORRECT DOCTRINE AND PERSUASIVE CULTS WHO DISTORT BIBLICAL TRUTHS FOR THEIR OWN ENDS !

The Final False prophet of Revelation - The Great Deception (Pope Francis? Maybe)
"The second beast is the False Prophet who may in fact be Pope Francis (the current Pope). His task it is to point people to the Antichrist, just as the Holy Spirit points people towards Jesus Christ. - Revelation 19:20. The False Prophet works with the Antichrist. They in fact work together and ultimately will perish together. In Revelation 13:11, we are told the FALSE PROPHET looks like a lamb but speaks like a dragon. Satan causes his False Prophet to appear like a meek and gentle lamb when in reality he has the heart of a destroyer. Jesus Himself said to beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves."
This False Prophet (Pope Francis (likely) or the next Pope) is the epitome of every false prophet who has ever lived.
The Antichrist (possibly Barack Obama) and the False Prophet are paired significantly. The former's focus is on politics while the latter's emphasis is religion. In the Tribulation, with the absence of true religion (if Christians are now raptured and off the planet), a false religion will be necessary to solidify the political power of the Antichrist. Wherever you have a vacuum of true religion, political power will marry itself to false religion to give itself a mark of acceptability.
So during the Great Tribulation, Satan will use religion (A Godless (satanic) religion) to unite the world under the leadership of the Antichrist.
WARNINGS FROM THE BIBLE:
Matthew 7: v 15-20
Jesus said
"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
Matthew 24: v 4-5 ( See also Luke 13: v5-6)
The disciples asked for signs of when Christ would return. Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ', and will deceive many."
Mark 13: v 21-23
Jesus said:
"At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look here is the Christ!' or 'Look there he is!' do not believe it.
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect - if that were possible.
So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.
Romans 16: v 17-18
"I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.
For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. "
2 Peter 2: v 1-3
"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them---bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping."
Discerning False Prophets
1 John 4: v 1 - 3
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone into the world.
This is how you can recognise the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge that Jesus is from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
The Bible's warning to False Prophets
2 Corinthians: v 13 - 15
"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workman, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. (in fact he's the prince of darkness) It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. "
Galations 1: v 9
"As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!"
1 Timothy 6: v 3
"If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing."
2 Timothy 4: v 3 - 4
"For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."
A final warning from Jesus to carefully consider
Matthew 7: v 13 - 14
Jesus said
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. "
Sadly, the majority of the world's population is heading for hell and many religious leaders and cult leaders are taking them there.
